Catherine Imbesi, Everyday Hero

This month we are honoring Everyday Hero Catherine Imbesi, co-owner of Salon Ciseaux in Winter Park, FL.
Prior to beginning coaching, Catherine says her life with her family seemed filled with confusion. She didn’t communicate and did not keep up with her relationship with her husband and with her staff at the salon, which in turn made her work disorganized and inefficient. She spent most of her time looking back on the things she had not accomplished.

While in coaching, she had some insights about her behavior; she learned that she was lazy in relationships and did not see the impact she had on others with her actions. She realized that she has a lot to offer her loved ones and that she is in fact a good partner. She began to recognize the great things in her life and appreciate them, rather than dwelling on the things she thought were missing. She began communicating with people and allowing them to contribute to her. She experienced the rewards that came with intimacy if you just allow it in your life.

Catherine has taken on new practices in her life in order to move forward consistently. She manages her new practices by keeping a daily planner and reading her vision everyday. Now when there is a breakdown in Catherine’s life, she communicates it immediately. She is more sympathetic to the people in her life and has a better outlook on life because she sees the beauty in the world and realizes that there are many reasons to be grateful.

Catherine’s future goals include continuing to improve her relationships at home and work. She wants to expand her business and to pass on the practices and procedures she has learned to her children, so that they too can be successful. She believes coaching can work for anyone, no matter what level they are at in their lives, because coaching gives you a new outlook on life and different ways to go about it.
