The word team always makes us think of togetherness, working in harmony, and allowing each other to succeed no matter what! It would be wonderful to have such a group working together in a coordinated effort.

Develop positions of authority that allow your employees to contribute. For instance, we added a Director of Associates to our staff. This person was dedicated to our company and vision. They were responsible for the assistants and the overall cleanliness of the business. They made schedules and created a cleaning system which in the long run allowed us to eliminate our cleaning company. This allowed an individual to show us their added strengths, create a team atmosphere, and free up the owners time so we could now be more effective and save money. Wouldn’t you love to have this?

Here you will realize that you do not have to supply all the answers or systems but just allow your staff the opportunity to make suggestions knowing that they will be taken into consideration. Their ideas will enlighten you, and they will come in abundance. From here you can allow others to build systems for the daily workings of your organization.

You have now established yourself as the type of leader that does not have to be the only front runner in the company. Each person now has a part to play; each one correlating with the other. Employees also need to be informed of the daily workings of the business,

so accountability to each other is imperative. Someone has to answer when things are not working.

The team will start to manage the structure which creates an environment of ease. Upsets are quickly diffused. Gossip will cease, ideas will flow, and problems are solved fairly. Each player will not only think of the business as their own, but begin to ensure each others success.
