Living Outside the Box

What is it that has you get out of bed in the morning? Are you excited to get the day going? Are you living your passion every day? OR…Are you tired? No energy? Have the “Gotta go to work” attitude? “I have to work to survive”? Do any of these sound more familiar?

This article is written for you. I know that it can be easy to get caught up in the every day rhythm of things and forgetting why you are even doing what you are doing! Are you living outside the box?  Or are you living inside of it? Believe it or not, you have a choice! This article will have you looking at the choices you are making every day and help you look at what is important to you.

So often you choose your career based on money or something you know you are good at, but do you love it? I have met more people that are just surviving their jobs every day because it is good money and it puts food on the table and pays the bills. Please don’t get me wrong, but wouldn’t it be great to have all of that AND love what you are doing?

Ask yourself a couple of questions and be willing to step outside of your comfort zone, out of that box (don’t worry you don’t have to tell anyone your answers):

1. If you could do anything you wanted to in life, what would it be?
2. What would it take for you to do that?
3. Did you immediately go to answering question #2 with “that would be impossible”? Or “I can’t do that!”

The point of these questions is for you to begin looking at how easily you let yourself off the hook to not get what you really want in life!! Nobody said it wouldn’t take work or some effort to make our dreams turn into reality, but it is all possible if you are committed to it! With commitment, focus and some accountability, you can honestly do ANYTHING you want.

I challenge you to take on the impossible. To live outside the box, no matter what people might say. It is your dream, so why not go after it! As a coach and trainer I have the privilege of working with people that are going after those dreams and it is so magical to watch them take on their lives even in the face of obstacles and circumstances. It is your choice and your life…go for it and love every minute of it!
