Coming out of my shell

The Primeco mentorship program is wonderful.  The entire team is awesome, and it’s not just one person helping me, ultimately, which is what is so great.  I have an awesome coach (or in some cases 3...) who is behind me 100%, never lets me play games and supports me in love while also kicking my butt. 

Through the program, I have allowed myself to come out of the shell I’ve worked so hard to keep myself in. I was afraid for so long to just talk to people I didn’t know.  Striking up a conversation face to face on my own was terrifying, and calling them on the phone was out of the question.  I was afraid, and I had stories in my head of what would happen before I even opened my mouth.  Now I’m calling colleges and businesses, and getting myself where I want and need to be.  I’m meeting new people, and having confidence in who I am.  I can now tell people honestly that it doesn’t matter if they don’t like me, because I do, and, in the long run, that’s a lot more important.  I am being a woman, and not a scared little girl, and people respond a lot more to me as that person. 
               
To be honest, there’s a ton more I need to sort out myself in my head about the things I’ve come across in this coaching, but having the foundation I now have, I feel I can really face anything I need to.
